Robert Pellecchia, DDS, F.A.C.S.
Chairman of Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Program Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Robert Pellecchia is the Chief of the Department of Dentistry/Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) at Lincoln Medical Center and the Director of Dental Services at the two satellite clinics of Morrisania and Belvis Diagnostic and Treatment Centers. He is also the Program Director of the Lincoln Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency training program.

Dr. Pellecchia has been in clinical practice in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for almost 40 years. Prior to his arrival at Lincoln hospital, Dr. Pellecchia was the Chairman and Program Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. He then became the Chief and Program Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at New York Medical College. He has participated in domestic and international meetings presenting topics that include trauma, pathology and TMJ total joint reconstruction.

Daniel Sultan, DDS, MD
Attending of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Daniel Sultan is a full time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery attending here at Lincoln. He received his DDS degree from Columbia University's College of Dental Medicine (2015) and his MD degree from Stony Brook University College of Medicine (2018). Dr. Sultan then completed his training at LIJ and Stony Brook in NY.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Sultan practices full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a focus on trauma and orthognathic surgery. Dr. Sultan has a meticulous eye for detail and is dedicated to providing excellent care to his patients.

When he’s not operating, Dr. Sultan enjoys making oral surgery related YouTube videos. He resides in New Jersey with his wife and children
Edward Woodbine, DDS
Attending of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Edward Woodbine attended Howard University College of Dentistry where he earned his DDS degree and graduated with honors. He then completed the prestigious Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at Woodhull Medical Center affiliate of New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Woodbine has a special interest in maxillofacial trauma and implant dentistry.
Dr. Woodbine is a member of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and enjoys spending his free time giving back to the less fortunate with his numerous volunteer endeavors within New York and the Caribbean. While in training Dr. Woodbine received several accolades not only for his contribution in the development of his peers but his genuine compassion for each and every patient he treats.
Maryam Akbari DMD, MD, MPH
Attending of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dr. Maryam Akbari attended University of Pennsylvania where she earned her DMD and MPH degrees (2014). She obtained her MD degree from Louisiana State University of Shreveport in 2018. She completed her oral and maxillofacial training at Mount Sinai Hospital in NY. Dr. Akbari enjoys teaching residents and practicing wide scope Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with a focus on trauma and orthognathic surgery. In addition to her extensive teaching, clinical and operating room duties, Dr. Akbari has become interested in local cause: establishing dental home for transgender youth in the community.
Dr. Akbari spends her free time running, biking and spending quality time with her friends and family
