Application process

Eligible applicants interested in the four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery training program at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center should apply through the American Dental Education Association postdoctoral application support service (ADEA PASS), which accepts applications beginning July 1.

 

We accept 2 categorical residents each year. There are non-categorical positions each year as well. Non-categorical applicants must have completed one year of General Practice Residency (GPR) prior to matriculation. 

Eligible applicants will have graduated from a predoctoral dental program in the U.S. accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation or a predoctoral dental program in Canada accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada prior to enrollment in the residency program.

Interview dates for the upcoming cycle are Nov 16th & 17th.

Interviews will be offered on a rolling basis once completed applications have been received and until all interview slots are filled. 

Application Requirements:

All applicants for OMFS program must include the following materials as supporting documentation:

  • Curriculum vitae

  • Personal statement

  • Copy of dental school diploma, as well as any graduate school diplomas

  • Letters of recommendation (3 total)

    • At least three letters of recommendation from physicians or faculty members who are familiar with your work. 

      • Applicants must submit letter of recommendation from program directors from prior residency training, such as GPR or OMFS Noncategorical which will count towards this requirement. 

  • A Dean’s letter of recommendation from your dental school is required.

  • Official dental school transcript

  • Official test transcript for all applicable examinations

    • CBSE, NMBE, WREB, NERB, ADEX

  • Copy of completion certificate for each of your prior residency or fellowship training programs
